DELAWARE 85, DREXEL 59In Richmond, Va., Delaware had runs of 22-13 and 19-2 on Saturday en route to an 85-59 victory over Drexel in a quarterfinal game of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.The Blue Hens (14-15) will face North Carolina-Wilmington in a semifinal game Sunday. Drexel, which hit just 8-of-31 field goal attempts in the second half, finished 14-14.The game was tied at 20 with 9:50 to go inlhe first half before the Blue Hens went on a 22-13 run led by Ryan Iversen’s seven points. Delaware led 42-33 at halftime.The Dragons pulled to 45-43 with 17:01 remaining, but the Blue Hens went on a 19-2 run over 6:04.The Blue Hens had five players in double figures led by Ames with 15 paints. Iversen added 14, Austen Rowland 13, Mike Slattery., a graduate of Germantown Academy, 11 and Dave Hindenlang 10. Slattery added a career-high 8 assists.Robert Battle paced the Dragons with 16 points, Eric Schmieder added 13 and Chestnut Hill Academy grad Tim Whitworth 11.In other quarterfinal action on Saturday, lOth-seeded Hof-stra beat No. 2 George Mason, 82-76, and top-seeded North Carolina-Wilmington beat James Madison 78-62.
