A mascot for Navajo Pine High SchoolBrand new Navajo Pine High School, located in Navajo, N.M., will be competing athletically this coming school year in an independent league with some of the smaller schools like Rough Rock High, Red Mesa High and Rock Point High.With the start of the high school football season just around the bend, the thought of fall sports brought up what 1 thought was an interesting question. What is Navajo Pine High going to call its' teams7 Who or what is their school s mascot?Well, as of deadline last night 1 was unable to find out what the team mascot is officially, but the unofficial word I got from most folks I talked with is that Navajo Pine High will call themselves the Warriors.That's right folks, the Warriors. Pretty exciting stuff, huh. Navajo Community College, located just down the road from Navajo, N.M. in friendly Tsaile, alreadycall themselves the Warriors and so does Tuba City High.Beine a new school on new turf.
