Shenango Township police and fire departments honored residents for selfless actions during a December 20 crash involving a gasoline tanker near Route 422. Florida man Monroe R. Woodard, 39, of Jacksonville, was sentenced to 13 1/2 to 27 years for 10 charges including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual abuse of children. Convicted December 16, he was found guilty of abusing two girls ages 13 and 14 in New Castle after contacting one online.
