1972: Fire destroys RMS Queen Elizabeth

The steam-powered ocean liner RMS Queen Elizabeth was destroyed when a fire broke out on the vessel late this morning. At the time of the fire, the ship, which had been renamed the Seawise University by new owner C.Y.
